The new Stargate looks different. It’s all dark and gritty and comes complete with Robert Carlyle. They may as well have called it Stargate: Battlestar Replica. The commander guy even sounds like Saul Tigh. But if the track in this trailer is anything to go by, they haven’t given comparable thought to the music. I don’t know who it is but it sounds like the sort of thing that would have been a chart topper circa 2001; angsty-white-American-teen-anthem sort of thing. Totally ruined the trailer experience for me. Still, it looks like it could be a satisfactory hole-filler for sci-fi fans.
